MINIMEDs is a PhD fellowship looking at how we can improve the support given the parents who need to give medicines to their children at home. Language forms a large part of how people learn to give medicines. This PhD is exploring the lived experiences of parents who give medicines. This will include exploring the influence of language on learning about medicines.
In some initial work, we have used Epistemic Semantic Density to explore technical language that is used when speaking about medicines to identify barriers to understanding.
