Language at Leeds was well represented at the 10th Evolution of Language Conference in Vienna, 14-17 April 2014.

University of Leeds PhD student Abdullah Alfaifi won best poster award at the UK Saudi Student Conference in Edinburgh last month.

The British Academy is funding a regional ECR event on Multimodality in language research at the University of Leeds, 24-26 June 2014.

There was strong representation from Language at Leeds at the first Linguistics in Arabia conference, held at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah on 4-5 December.
