Multimodality Reading Group

We are pleased to invite you to our first meeting of the Multimodality Reading Group.   

One of the five papers that we selected for this meeting presents Ledin and Machin's discussion on Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL)’s influence on multimodal research and the suitability of appropriating concepts and analytical models from SFL into multimodal analysis, specifically in relation to the goals and objectives of Critical Discourse Studies (CDS). The other four papers include responses from different scholars and a final reply from Ledin and Machin.
