The Arabic Language@Leeds PGR is an interdisciplinary group of PhD students meeting twice a month to discuss various issues in Arabic language and linguistics.
The group is a great opportunity to showcase your research with other PGRs and staff involved in research on Arabic, as well as providing you with valuable feedback and networking activities.
We hold talks with invited speakers from Universities in different parts of the world; tutorials on software for linguists (e.g. PRAAT, ELAN, TLex, etc.); workshops on the publishing process, writing an academic book review, and presenting at international conferences.
You can visit our Satellite page to see some of the activities we have hosted in the past few years: https://www.latl.leeds.ac.uk/event_category/arabic-language/
If your research topic includes Arabic language and you wish to be included in the mailing list to be updated on news and events, conference calls, workshops, and to talk about your research at one of our meetings, please email your interest to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, the meetings will be hosted online twice a month.
