Inaugural Lecture by Professor Janet Watson, Leadership Chair for Language at Leeds.

The lecture will will be followed by a wine reception.

The lecture is titled: Language and culture: Documentation of the Modern South Arabian Languages.

Professor Watson examines links between language and culture within the context of a three-year community-based project which is currently documenting the Modern South Arabian languages (MSAL) spoken in Oman and mainland Yemen.
