Serge Sharoff, Vania Dimitova and Eric Atwell want to start a seminar / reading group on Artificial Intelligence, Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing. They would like to bring together PhD students and postdoctoral researchers who work in the areas of AI for text analytics and corpus linguistics, to discuss the latest research developments and methods in this area.
The first seminar will take place on 15 December at 10am-11am. It will be an informal meeting where everyone will briefly introduce themselves, what they are working on, and what they need to learn about. We will discuss what topics to include in future meetings; for example, a reading group to discuss key research papers.
The list of Leeds researchers in this area has grown, so I have set up a mail-list address   ai4l@lists.leeds.ac.uk
If you want to be included in this ai4l email list, please email e.s.atwell@leeds.ac.uk to tell me to add you.
