GAMMs workshop for the analysis of eye-tracking data

Date
Date
Tuesday 22 March 2016

With Dr Jacolien van Rij

The aim of the workshop is to introduce you to the use of Generalized Additive Mixed Models to analyse eye-tracking data. GAMMs are an extension of linear mixed effect models. Crucially, they can capture non-linear relationships between variables (e.g. variations of the signal over time within a trial) and auto-correlations between trials.

No prior knowledge of modelling is required, but parts of the workshop will address advanced issues.

This will be a demonstration and hands-on workshop, with activities suiting various degrees of expertise (from total novice to advanced R programmer). A more detailed programme will be circulated to registered participants nearer the time.

An ancillary aim of the workshop is to provide an opportunity for networking. Participants will include linguists, psychologists and statisticians (and perhaps more...)

To apply for a place on this workshop, please add your name AND EMAIL ADDRESS to this Doodle Poll.

The places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

Deadline for expression of interest: 7th of March 2016
