The next speaker on our Professionalisation Talk series will be Maria Cecilia Lipovsek.

Cecilia is an Argentine Corporate, Diplomatic & Conference Interpreter with Spanish (A), English (B), and Portuguese (C) - trained under AIIC member Diana Merchant. She is also a Literary, Technical, and Scientific Translator with a degree from the IES en Lenguas Vivas, Juan Ramon Fernandez, in Buenos Aires. She originally started out as a remote community interpreter for the US market back in 2003 and further developed into corporate and conference interpreting later.

Since January 2015, Cecilia resides in London where she launched Modern Communication & Languages, a service geared to assist British and Latin American diplomats, businesses, and professionals with their language and intercultural needs. She is an active member of the AATI, the ITI, and the London Regional Group, an author, a guest lecturer, and an amateur photographer. She has developed a strong reputation for her high levels of professional performance, flexibility, warmth, and excellent teamwork among her clients and colleagues on both sides of the ocean. You can find out more about her on www.mclinterpreting.com

Cecilia's session will be an introduction to interpreting for the diplomatic sector. She will cover topics such as interpreting techniques, supplementary skills, professional profile, business development, fun facts and case studies.
