CELCE Seminar: Socotra: Birds, Wildlife and Conservation

I will talk about the variety of wildlife that makes this World Heritage Site such a global hotspot of endemism. I will dwell particularly on birds that I have been studying since my first visit in 1993. I will also cover the wildlife conservation history and particularly the actions that have been undertaken in the last 20 years. The talk will be dedicated to my Socotran friends and colleagues and their great work for conservation.
