Leeds representation at EvoLang 2014

Language at Leeds was well represented at the 10th Evolution of Language Conference in Vienna, 14-17 April 2014. Mark Atkinson, who graduated from Leeds with an MA in Linguistics and English Language Teaching in  2011 and is now a PhD student in the LEC unit in Edinburgh, presented a poster entitled "Sociocultural determiners of linguistic complexity" with Kenny Smith and Simon Kirby. Undergraduate finalist Charlotte Saunderson also attended the conference, along with lecturer Diane Nelson.
